My very post here on SERPlified. Need I say how anxious and excited I feel in this very moment? For the first time, I have trouble finding the right words. It probably happens to all of us when we start anew.
So this is it: breaking the ice on SERPlified.
What Is SERPlified?
In case you haven’t dropped by before, there’s an entire About Serplified page explaining what this website is all about. Or should be. Or it’s going to be.
SERPlified is a place where you find information from my personal experience. Yes, that’s it. No generic titles, no generic content. I’d rather write once a month than to add content like crazy without testing it before.
I’ve managed to seal more than 100 clients in these past 6years, so there is a lot to talk about. Each time, I reinvented myself. SERPlified will be about reinventing your business, your startup, your online presence, your skills set, yourself.
Warning: Things might get really geeky and technical in here. Make sure you have a glass of water near your laptop/tablet/smartphone whenever you are reading my blog. And a pill for headaches.
In a competitive business, you can only reinvent yourself each and every day. – Personal Quote
What Isn’t SERPlified
SERPlified will definitely not become a commercial website and blog. I recommend close friends, but that doesn’t mean I would recommend anyone without testing their services or reviewing their products. I always believe you should take the first bite before letting others taste the cake. If the cake is delicious, then you are lucky. If the cake is awful, then you are still lucky enough to be the first to tell the world what it needs to know. Another principle in business that helps me deliver results to my clients.
SERPlified won’t be about how to trick Google or how to perform blackhat SEO. No, we don’t go there. SERPlified will be all about using the best tools out there and strategies – imagine each article being a tutorial of how to properly grow your business or yourself. Although some people prefer to pay and get results, without understanding or taking part in the actual process, I believe it is always better to teach people how to Do It Themselves (DIT), in a way that they become at least aware of the actions and processes involving in growing an online business. If you wish to become an expert, then we might need 1-on-1 Coaching, which is not for free, but at reasonable prices. (More to come in this area).
10 Rules of a SERPlified Experience
SERPlified will become a promising great online brand one day, so my friends and I have a set of principles and rules, which will apply in this area, as well.
#1: Thou Shall Not Spam
You won’t get any spam from Me. And I expect to not receive any spam from You. Spam is just an ugly, really ugly way to end a relationship, I swear. When the amount of crap grows in your “inbox” or “trash can”, you need to put a stop to it. So let’s not Spam each other, ladies and gentlemen. I like my visitors happy and spam-less. No hard feelings.
#2: You Shall Not Pass Unless Decent Language
Don’t get me wrong, I may be a woman, but I swear sometimes. I swear, really. But keep your language decent, it’s not fair to the other readers to be negatively charged by your “vulgarity”. Decent and we’re friends for life, truuuust me!
#3: We Comment Actions and Strategies, Not People
Yes, people love to comment. I love it when people comment, too. But do not comment people as in individuals. This is not a haters’ gathering. Learn to comment and discuss ideas, actions, strategies, just don’t go all out on your personal negative feelings towards someone.
#4: Do or Do Not: There Is No Try
Well, this lovely quote by Yoda is filled with wisdom. My promise to you is that I present real information, doable and applicable advice. It’s up to you to take these articles, tutorials and courses as challenges and do them. Or not do them. But don’t tell me “Yes, I might try it someday”. Time doesn’t wait for anyone. It’s all about taking action now, in this very moment, with an accent on taking action.
#5: High Value Is Evergreen
I believe in high value. I am a Statistician at heart, so you’d expect me to say quantity is better than quality. I think “high value” equals mostly quality, followed by quantity. It is a mix of these two factors. I am expecting to offer high value information that is applicable not only now, but even in 2-3-5 years time. Cross my heart.
#6: It’s Not Just Letters and Numbers
Of course, a blog (even a niche blog) is similar to life: there’s more to it than just words and stats. I crave (in my sleep) for the human factor in blogs. Whenever I click on a blog that sounds promising, I get this desert feeling: it’s too hot during day and too chilly during night. That’s because there’s almost zero comments. Visitor interaction is below sea level. I don’t like that. I don’t like content farms where the only thing closer to a comment is a spam comment. Seriously, don’t be afraid to comment! I DARE YOU!
#7: When It Comes to Feedback, I Am Always Hungry
I love feedback. And I feel incomplete without it. And just some Stats and Analytics telling me “n” people (n=size of sample, in this case, number of visitors) dropped by for a couple of seconds, or “n” people shared/liked/tweeted/pinned/whatever-socially interacted with a SERPlified article, well, how to put this, that don’t impress me much. I want you, the visitor who searches for tutorials and valuable info to reach out to me. Tell me, in a comment, on Skype, Google Hangout, Email, Face-to-Face, let me know what your needs are how much the content and tutorials shared here have covered. Percentage, estimates, anything scale-able for me. Feedback, be it positive or negative is still feedback. So feed me some feedback, don’t hold back.
#8: A Teacher Always Wants To Be Surpassed by His Student(s)
What I plan on teaching you is something can be learned and applied. I love it when I train/coach someone and they grow up (so fast!) and just spread their wings and fly. Or, in more technical terms, they come, they consume all the available info, they apply it and once they get the hang of it, they leave to create a name for themselves.
I can’t say if or how awesome I am at the moment. Just like you, I learn and most of the times, I learn on the go. The problem with learning on the go and doing it on your own is that you can always hit the Error page and it becomes hard to reset and rewind. But if you have someone who’s been there, and who shares only the valuable information, the stuff You need, then there’s a chance things will be easier for you. Just learn fast, apply as you learn and do not be afraid to make a change into your business or life or profession.
#9: Trust and Communication Are The Key To a Healthy Collaboration
It’s a principle I’ve been applying in business since 2008. You have to win people’s trust and communicate a clear, outspoken message, without any hidden meaning. Honesty is a rare trait, but we could definitely use it no matter the industry or purpose (individual, professional, personal). My goal is to win your trust over with the most competent information in terms of Internet Marketing, Digital, Statistics and Data Analysis.
#10: Invest Only in People Who Are Willing to Invest in Themselves
Another healthy principle is to invest only in those who invest in themselves. It’s giving me the chance to filter the quality in the quantity of people in my life and in my business. I believe that if you are here, you are already investing in yourself. So now’s my time to invest in you, by providing the best tools, products, courses, tutorials and content to suit your needs. Your needs and “hunger” for information helps me in choosing what and how much to invest in you. It keeps me motivated in investing in people, strangers, friends etc.
At the end of the day, all there’s left to say is… Welcome to SERPlified!
I hope it will feel like home for everyone. And remember: your need for a simplified digital experience brought you here in the first place.
